So, how about that election, huh? I was happy with it. Not just because my guys, and causes, won, but because groups that tend to be disenfranchised -- women, gays, minorities -- came out in numbers and voted in their own best interests. I was so proud of all of us, and it makes me hopeful about the country we're leaving for our children.
Anyway, school, autumn, Halloween, Thanksgiving, it's all a blur, and here we are at the holiday season. Didn't we just put away the Christmas decorations? I say that every year, but every year it's more true. I'm a little glad that this year has gone quickly because 2012 wasn't a great year for anyone I know (with the exception of the election). I'm waiting for lucky 2013.
It is taking me all week to write this post and decorate the Christmas tree. Soon it will be like painting the Golden Gate bridge and I will be either putting up or taking down the decorations 12 months a year.
I still don't know what to do with this blog. I'm trying to figure out the next big thing, but it isn't coming to me. I don't want to take the blog down, because there's some good work here. I think a lot of us are in the same boat. Where are you posting your writing these days?
